What is the difference between procurement and purchasing?

Procurement = sourcing, negociation.....
Purchasing = order palcement , following & receipt......

Procurement is acquiring of goods and service with quality and quantity,it is based upon contractual sort of thing while purchasing is only a single part of the procurment like a small thing or a property or land where we only have to pay cash one time effort.
Procurement is an on going process!
