Dear Brain Julius,

After greeting. Good question to ask, Optical Fiber cables carry pulses of light (i.e. approximate speed light) while coaxial cables which are copper cables carry electrons which generate current resulting from varying magnetic field causing Electromagnetic Interference (I.e. Maxwell's equations) That is a kind of noise in signals plays a great factor in lowering the bandwidth (i.e. data rate) in copper cables than the optical fibers. Take in your consideration that the signal attenuation over long distance which is nearly immune in optical fiber case.

Thank you.

Traditional copper wires transmit electrical currents, while fibre optic technology sends pulses of light generated by a light emitting diode or laser along optical fibres.

Fiber optic communication technology provides better quality of transmission than copper wire technologies. In the electromagnetic frequency spectrum, light waves such as frequencies on infrared, visible light and UV have greater bandwidth spectral frequency range and thus more capacity of information and data can be sent through this spectral ranges and gives more faster and greater rate of transmission; plus considering that light information is digitized and have increased reliability than analog that was common on coax.

A Coaxial cable has involve Resistance of wire which fiber optics a light source signals communication and light has negligible resistance and also speed of light involve for higher Band Width to communication(sorry my english not good, hop you guys understand. thanks).

copper wires you're looking at changes in the electromagnetic field, the intensity of that field and perhaps the phase of the wave being sent down a wire. "With fibre optics, a transmitter converts electronic information into pulses of light — a pulse equates to a one, while no pulse is zero. When the signal reaches the other end, an optical receiver converts the light signal back into electronic information
