Everyone has a fear of public speaking.

saying that, now you have to practice, first alone, then in front of family or friends, then when you feel comfortable speak in front of a small group.

The trick is knowing what you'll say and feeling comfortable where you are.

Lots f practice makes an expert out of a novice. Also, prepare well.

Try this: grab the very first chance of speaking to a large audience about a topic you know NOBODY else can speak about better than you. It could be anything not necessarily related to the kind of topics you're often afraid of addressing in a public large meeting of people, like a hobby or a favorite book, movie or even a personal story or an anecdote.

Once you get over the obstacles related to being in front of a large audience, you can concentrate on further refining your subjective public speech and presentation skills.

Fear on public speech is otherwise known as stage sick which can be overcome, as many pointed out, by practice. However learnt you are and however confident one may be, for the first time you address an audience from stage, one may become little bit nervous and start stammering. One of the practical ways to overcome such shivering is to observe the experienced but idiot public speakers and see how effortlessly they speak non sense fearlessly without having any sort of human bashfullness. Then you will derive a mental courage thinking that if this fool can, why can't I?

According to me first of all one should start from the family members because it is the easiest to speak before the people you know well and who understands you better and in doing so you must not hasitate saying anything gramatically wrong or right, try to get involved in most of the topics, Start practising alone.

After doing all that you will surely feel a boost in your confidence and it is all about how confident you are.

You first start by participating in more discussions with colleages and peers and family. You start reading to improve your knowledge on the items you are interested in and then become more vocal on them and share your thoughts while at the same time being more receptive of various inputs.

With time as you gain more experience in various  areas you can easily speak in public as you become more knowledgeable and thus the confidence automatically comes.

In office life, if you are to present something to a group, first you do a detailed study on the matter to be presented and then do preperatory work, make a presentation and then go ahead

At the risk of sounding like a broken record there is no better way to get over a fear of public speaking than getting up and doing it. Continual practice of the art not only improves the way you communicate but it cultivates your confidence, and when you have great communication skills plus self-assurance all you need is an audience.

By nature not all have the ability to conquer the fear of public speaking but that doesn't mean you can't do it at all. My simplest advice is to find an opener that you're most comfortable with like a joke, a quote, a certain news that you found interesting just so you can actually start to say something. First step is always the hardest so why not make it something more comfortable to do?
