What will happen if instead of neutral we use earth wire as return conductor?if we can use ,then why we are not using in our day to day appliances?

if earth wire is used instead of Neutral wire. Earth wire is-ive infinit voltage. Then increase in the effective voltageand then more current will pass. our appliances are meantfor specific voltage grade. this high current will damageour appliances. usually, you can prove it by using electricbulb neutral connected with earth wire. and chk the parameters.
