The Central Purchasing Unit (CPU) is a specialist team responsible for acquiring all materials, supplies and certain services that are used by the council.
Central Purchasing conducts competitive bidding and procures goods and services in accordance with the Council's Standing Orders and other national legal requirements. Where possible suppliers are selected from the Approved List of Contractors.
