Learning from the past to make a better future is an ongoing ambition that is getting better and better as we reach new methods for "historical analysis" and "predictive/intelligent future planning" There is a part which is DATA-CENTERED and focuses on collecting/analyzing the data to reach helpful and meaningiful conclusions about the future.   The other part has to do with the "ANALYSIS ENGINE itself which evolved from simple extrapolation to the full suite of business intelligence (BI) applications Designing the future is not as easy as it may look and the deeper and farther you go into the future, the more ambigiousm difficult and challenging it becomes.  This is where such techniques as "multiple extreme scenario tehnique planning" proves its value

The relationship between the two is that  the process of analyzing past we conclude mistakes and failures in order to design a future plan for our live without past mistakes and as a result our live in the future will be the best .

We have a saying in our country:

"He who does not look back to his past will never reach his intended destination."

One can never know how far he has moved forward, how much further does he have to move and what direction and steps he needs to do to reach his intended destination unless he looks back.

Past and future have very strong relationship.past give us a clear pictures of what we was and what was remaining to do?that are the mostly questions we get from our past then we plan it to done it in future..if we don't look at our past then we can't plan it for future.

Analyzing the past always throws lot of insights that will help you designing your future. Companies like Apple is a living example. They were almost out of the global scene after2001 befor ethey transformed themselves from a computer company in to an electronic products company with the launch of Ipod. With the onslaught of Intel and Microsoft they redesigned their strategy of the past and became successful.

where we are today is a result of our past actions and design.and where we will be in the future is a result of our current plans.we always learn from the past and apply our findings to enhance our future's experience.
