Folks, Let make sure that we all are on same page about the difference between Management & Leadership. Management Management is both art and science. It is the art of making people more effective than they would have been without you. The science is in how you do that. There are four basic pillars: plan, organize, direct, and monitor. Leadership Leadership has been described as "a process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task" Please share your views & comments. Thanks Best Regards
We can make Managers but Leaders are bron with qualities.
Again: To me first thing is to be "Better Human being" Which can lead to great management
Leaders can not be developed.
Leaders can be good managers but managers need not necessarily be good leaders. Managers are specifically in charge of a department or a team while a leaders role is wider and encompassing. A leader has to lead by example and has to motivate people through actions while managers act on specifics.
Managers do just what they are called for - manage a situation while leaders manage, organise and carry forward to the next level.
All effective leaders have developed good management practices. As such, good management and effective leadership are essential to successfully accomplish all goals.
'Management' is focused on Structure.
'Leadership' is focused on People.
'Management' is focused on controlling resources.
'Leadership' is focused on empowering people.
Managers Plan, Organize, Direct & Control.
Leaders Inspire, Motivate, and unleash Team Energy.
