Remote Assistance - is a Microsoft built-in piece of app (usually found in professional OS editions such as Windows7 Pro, Windows Vista Ultimate) which allows a user to have a full control of a remote computer within the same Organization's network.
TeamViewer - is a proprietary piece of software which can be installed in Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, and other operating systems and works similarly as the "Remote Assistance app", it allows to share a view of a person's display via Local Network, and also the internet.
As for Google Remote Desktop, I don't have any experience in it, I'll get back to you once I master it.
