What are the F1 through F12 keys uses in the computer

they are the function keys

it has different functions with different applications , some new laptops use them as  a short cut to other applications if you operate with specific system .... exmple ( lenovo laptops with windos  use those keys as a short cut for volume ,recovery, airplaine mode ,so on)
