Dr. Fiegenbaum in1951 introduced the concept of total quality control using process based systems engineeing principles that today evolved into the TQM. He sat on the first board for the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Criteria in1987 which is the mainstay for TQM Principles and the world class standard for modern quality management practices. Quality Management has its roots in the Department of Defense Mil-Q-9828 from the late1950's which evolved into the British Standards and then into ISO standards. Dr. Fiegenbaum is still alive and resides in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
