Once you have risks identified, work on identifying workarounds. Once you have both of these handy keep a close eye on them wrt progress on tasks in the project plan.
It's ideal to identify risks and possible workaround before you kick off the implementation BUT as long as you keep an eye on risks as they arise and make efforts to research workarounds and/or avoidance strategies you should be good.
Update the plan, and monitor the risk if it appear run the response plan exited in the origenal plan.
