At what stage of construction should termite protection be applied?

It probably depends from project to project but most of the answers already given are accurate.

TERMITE PROTECTION IS APPLIED IN THE  FOUNDATION FILLING

Termite protection is applied after excavation the foundation and before starting of foundation  

before concreting for footing.

before foundation work( after earth work excavation) 

TERMITE PROTECTION SHOULD APPLY AFTER THE EXCAVATION WORK AND BEFORE THE CASTING OF FOUNDATION

1), Just when excavation is completed.2) before backfilling the sides of the foundation3) during wood work

In the start of construction 

termite protection is applied when the structure is in its foundation level .

But what is the use of applying this protection before the lean concrete or backfilling ?! isn't it enough to apply it, as Shaik Abdul Khaja Moinuddin comment, before construction of grade slab?! This will protect the structure from termite  not to reach the floor ?! what do you think?!

Termite protection is used in preparation for the construction of the foundation. It is applied over the soil bed, right before you cast the blinding concrete. The construction sequence of the raft is excavation -> termite control -> blinding concrete -> waterprooding -> screed -> raft.
