Energy was, is and will always be needed by people, first of all we need it for heat, lighting and transport. It is prepared in the form of electricity needed for lighting, operation of industry, telecommunications and transport, which can be easily transmitted over long distances. The energy produced as heat is used for heating, cooking, or in industry. In the form of fuel is used in cars, trains, aircraft and other means of communication. Energy sources can be divided into two basic groups: renewable energies, the resources of which are subject to renewal or non-renewable, the use of which is faster than natural reproduction. Renewable (unconventional) source used in the processing of: • solar energy • wind energy • geothermal energy, • the energy of the seas and oceans (tides, currents, waves, temperature differences, differences in salinity) • energy freshwater • biomass energy, • landfill biogas energy, • biogas energy produced in the process of discharge or sewage treatment or decomposition of plant and animal remains. For non-renewable (conventional) sources include mainly fossil fuels like: • coal, • lignite, • natural gas, • crude oil, • peat. Now the world is dependent on traditional energy sources (fossil fuels), which, however, after some time they are exhausted. In addition, minerals are not present everywhere, and it is not always easy to extract them, and countries that do not have their own raw materials have to buy them abroad. The mass burning of fossil fuels is one of the reasons leading to the rapid degradation of the environment. These impurities are associated with the generation of large amounts of toxic ash and waste heat. The negative effects include the destruction of portions of the Earth, for example. Shifting ground, heaps and heaps of ash. These aspects have forced the use of ecological methods of obtaining energy from the so-called. alternative sources, which are an alternative to the conventional sources. Alternative energy sources can generally be divided into renewable and synthetic. The first use of the nature of the forces which occur in nature and the other one is a synthesis of fuel, to replace the well-known naturally occurring hydrocarbons. The difference between them lies in the fact that renewable after ensuring adequate infrastructure can be used without major financial expenditures. In the case of synthetic fuels must be a continuous supply of energy because it can convert one type to another, but can not get it out of nothing. So natural is receiving energy from renewable sources. Investing in these energy sources gives a good range of benefits to individuals and local communities m.in .: reduce dependence on foreign sources of energy; replacing the less accessible and increasingly expensive fossil fuels niewyczerpywalnymi and cheap sources of energy; increase energy security; activation of local entrepreneurship; reduce air pollutant emissions associated with the processing of fossil fuels and thereby reduce morbidity resulting from environmental pollution and many others. In Poland, the energy produced is still mainly based on coal and lignite. Increase public awareness of how damaging this has consequences for the environment and the problem of having to refocus energy policy so that the depletion of these sources did not end the energy crisis led to increasing interest in alternative energy sources. Renewable energy sources (RES) are becoming increasingly popular due to their environmental compatibility, niewyczerpywalność and energy potential. Every year increasing energy generation from renewable sources (according to CSO data, in 2009 the share in the total production of the country amounted to 9%). The most common and popular renewable source of heat both in Poland and in the world is biomass. In Poland, that the energy source has a particularly good prospects because of the large number of farms. The share of wind power, solar is growing all the time, but the transition from conventional to alternative energy is a slow process.
Alternative energy sources are:1. Sun and any heat source2-water3-fuel plant
the alternatives sources of enerygy are geothermal energy , hydroelectric energy , solar power , wind power etc.
Energy that can be used alternatively or the energy which donot harm the environment . eg-solar energy , wind energy etc
Fuel cells, bio-ethanol & solar energy
For me at this time Geothermical energy is the best way, but only posible in certain parts of the world.
Windenergy is highly subsidized and still not effective, altough everybody wants you to believe that.
I live in Colombia where80% of the energy comes from dams, perfect and clean. But Colombia is also suitable for geothermical energy
Alternative energy is any energy source that is an alternative to fossil fuel. These alternatives are intended to address concerns about such fossil fuels.
Everyday, the world produces carbon dioxide that is released to the earth’s atmosphere and which will still be there in one hundred years time.
This increased content of Carbon Dioxide increases the warmth of our planet and is the main cause of the so called “Global Warming Effect”. One answer to global warming is to replace and retrofit current technologies with alternatives that have comparable or better performance, but do not emit carbon dioxide.
We call this Alternate energy.
By2050, one-third of the world's energy will need to come from solar, wind, and other renewable resources. Who says? British Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell, two of the world's largest oil companies. Climate change, population growth, and fossil fuel depletion mean that renewables will need to play a bigger role in the future than they do today.
Alternative energy refers to energy sources that have no undesired consequences such for example fossil fuels or nuclear energy. Alternative energy sources are renewable and are thought to be "free" energy sources. They all have lower carbon emissions, compared to conventional energy sources. These include Biomass Energy, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Geothermal Energy, Hydroelectric Energy sources. Combined with the use of recycling, the use of clean alternative energies such as the home use of solar power systems will help ensure man's survival into the21st century and beyond

there are different source of energy. they are renewable and non renewable. The non renewable source of energy are petrol coal etc. they give us energy but they also pollute the environment and they are also said to get over by the end of this century. so the our focus shifted to other elements of nature from which we can make energy. these elements of nature are sun water and wind. these sources o energy are called as alternative source of energy. these sources of energy does not pollute the environment and we can use them till the end of the time
