Can you proceed when a foreign co provides you with an offer letter and says that they have sent their own attaché at the embassy to speed up the visa process. But just to place the credentials before the embassy( the visa fee would be separate) you are told to shell out a fee which is equal to your current monthly salary. How can u trust the company? How do I know it is not a scam? How to recognize a genuine offer letter? How do I know I am not sucked into a money making job scam that would make me bankrupt. I think many jobseekers have the same question? After cracking an online interview in Skype u have the offer letter. You are made to send scanned copies of your educational and experience certificates. Then u are told to sign an offer letter. Then comes the bomb. You have to pay just to open your file at the embassy which is a hefty fee. And the embassy is In Delhi1,500 km away and the Calcutta office do not deal with Work permit issues. You are warned if u approach the embassy directly your visa could be rejected or delayed.
I have been offered a job by Ashcon Ltd. <> through bayt. com.
but it is scam. they haven't provided their official website , their contact person details in UK.
Anybody paying money for this job please check them before apply.
I have applied for Air Ticketing position in (لقد تم حذف الرابط بسبب انتهاكه لسياسة الموقع. يرجى التواصل مع قسم الدعم لمزيد من المعلومات.) and they contacted me and conducted few rounds of interview. Later, they informed me that i got selected and sent an offer letter to my personal mail id. I'm not sure whether the offer letter is genuine of fake? There is no sign or stamp on the offer letter. I am totally confused. I am in a dilemma whether to wait till the joining date or ignore it and lookout for a new job? I have attached the offer letter. Please share your inputs. Thanks.
when company Calls you to have recruit agreement to discussed about your offer and talk or Sign,
normally company takes all the requirement charges not the candidate,
Where the conpany is genuine, they will not ask you any money to process visa .
Some companies may charge you the visa and ticket fee from your salary, after your joining.
As per my experience, I found the below:
Mostly offer letters sends from Company wesite id.
You may check the company details from search ingines.
Some fake offer letters typing on a Letterhead paper which is made in the computer.
On fake letterheads, some of the things are missing like address/ phone numbers etc.
Most of the fake letters are typed in Capital letters.
Company names slightly change like Sigapore Airlines to Singapore Airways etc.
So better check company name, address, phone numbers are correct. Check company website, management team details. Existance of the company etc.
Fortunately the internet has answers.
Check the e-mail address, that is one sure way to detect a scam. If you are an IT qualified person it would be easy for you to trace out the origins of the offers and mails and verify for scammers.
Check out the details on Google, look out for scams already recorded by other victims and you are ikely to verify the details. If the pattern matches yours, there is no doubt that it is a scam.
Check out the telephone numbers. Often scammers use mobile telephone numbers rather than landline, as their location can be traced, but this is not a sure way. Some countries like UK have kind of 'free' mobile numbers which are misused by scammers located in far awy countries and masquerading as employers.
Be wary and careful while applying on job boards. Even job boards like Bayt have been used by scammers, as Bayt also warns you when you hit the "apply' button.
If you have any friend in the country where you have appied, ask him / her to check out the antecedents of the would-be employer.
Finally, demand for money is one very concrete clue. The purpose of the scammer is to grab the 'dough'! thats what he is working for so if you hold back you can sense his uneasiness and efforts to push you to pay.
Take care. Stay aware and safe!
Go to , Employment exchange , office, and get verified, whether, the company, is real, or fake.
