Is it popular practice for women to work as designers and drafters in the UAE? Specifically Dubai?

Women professional related to design industry are always welcomed in the GCC region for their creative job. This field is very challenging and hiring western professionals are always preferred compare with other parts of the world. Dubai, gulf in the whole region many high rise building, hotels, restaurant, shopping mall, and playing centers, architectural interior and exterior designing work involves women professionals standing side by side proving their strength to perform excellent job.

Always Qualified women are preferred in any Industry to improve Gender Ratio esp in Manufacturing or Engineering service organizations. This is a trend throughout the world. Women got much more preference in UAE.

In Many organizations even Team lead itself is Lady.

I worked in multiple companies in Dubai for a period of7 years and I found too many ladies are working at Design office and at construction site. But it is always preferable to work at Design office

Yes. Women, most of the time are detail oriented. And nowadays, Gender is not an issue as long as you are capable and your credentials qualify the need/requirement of the employer.
