Actually personally I don't like any social activitiesthats why I ask my team members or workers what they want? so they told me to arrange picnics,dinner party,cricket match or gathering e.t.c so there opinions are helpful and valuable for me...mostly I arranged every thing they asked me thats Why I am Favorite and most popular manager lolz...
You should Motivate your team members tp Achieve based on negotiated and agreed set of goals , help and empower the team members, share the risks with them and share the reward as well !!
Always Make (( Weekly Stuff Meeting )) to knwo for sure how work flow is go on and how my stuff are doing and their needs as well which can be applied and which not , finally to be always one in the team and not in managerial level , just watching from up without any interact.
In my country some do have a retreat or an ourdoor activity wherein employees present would physically exert in order to win games. This practice often reveals and confirm sense of team interdependency and trust in order to succeed by winning one game.
At a debriefing session morning of next working day, employees' high performances, potentials and demonstrated traits would be personally mentioned and characteristics later related to create learning opportunities for employees developing.

Mr. Khatim, good question, and I like the practical approach of yours. I would like to mention what practically I do for :
Routine : It can be managed by routine itself by being very puntucal on reportings, communications and instructions and proper follow ups with feedbacks.
Team Building : To provide proper chances for every team member to play in the field and I make feel my team mates that I do beilive in them and they tries for same. This gives me a intellengent emotional attachments to penetrate in my team and to make a proper analysis.
Productivity : To improve productivity I usually organize informal meets and off beat parties too with the prior permission of higer authorities. Apart from them, regular training and I do personally prepare team mates performance report alongwith myself.

I do informal one-o-one meetings to motivate the team members, take the team for dinners, sports activity (badminton), and on some outdoor activities.. Set the development goals for individuals for areas of growth, organize knowledge sharing sessions to improve efficiency of work...
At my workplace to keep my team together and get profuctivity , i always arrange meeting with them end of the week and ask them how was there week and is there anything they would like to share that can help manage the goals in timely manner, as for activities we do arrange monthly dinner meetings with staff members where we get to know eachother outside work and can talk about work in relaxed manner.
if some member of the team is not working affectively as required then instead of looking down on him/her , i motivate them and set them goals that they can achieve easily in the beginning, provide them training on weekly basis. As long as team works together and happy with manager efforts and activities he arranges trust me goals get achieved in good manner and in time as well as improve productivity,
