Do we just inform the customer that he would have to pay or explain as the product is out of warranty the best option would be either he pay for support or go for a new product. Can your attitude retain the customer.
I would retain that customer for asking him to pay for support rather buying new. This will make customer reliable and trust of product being in market for long time.
