They are equally essential. One cannot fulfill without the other.
For me execution is more important than strategy. There is no point having a great strategy and you can't execute it.
I think it's the strategy, as it's the foundation for the direction the organozation is heading and goals to be reached.
excution is as much important, but it comes next, and always can be amended given a good monitoring and controlling procedureds along the other managerial cycle.
I think it's easier to think of strategy like this:
1. What's the problem statement? Or, what is the objective you're trying to achieve?;
2. What are your policy statements e.g. what you WILL do and what you WON"T do; and
3. What's your action plan e.g. activities, dates and priorities.
When you have all3 components you have a strategy where the execution is built-in (step3). The key is to make sure you communicate to all involved parties all3 elements and that you remain resolute in your definition of the objective and policy statements, after all, the plan can and often does change.
Before start excabastion need sign board & barricastion.
They are both importante and complimentary, you can not excecute what wasn't planned in advance (Strategy) regardless of the field your are in and you also can't plan without executing what you have planned. How could you reach your goal without "Strategy" and "Execution" ?
N.B: General info
To have a Good exectuion you have to (Strategy), is to plan more and think properly for there's no mistake. But they are both important in real life, they can be use during daily bases.
Strategy.
Both are essential. Strategy can help to ensure the direction of execution with less effort. And the realization of strategy needs execution to attain goal.
i think its more important if one got strategy because execution is always possible, but its strategy who will make it effective and effecient which means executing it while being efficient.
