Which project methodology is more suitable for construction projects (or projects other than software) - PMBOK or PRINCE2?

Both methodologies can be applied for construction projects as far as I know. However, Prince2 is widely used for IT projects though non-IT projects also can be managed following it. 

Closely observed the particular Project as per critical Path Method and daily tracking. Whole to part and part to Whole Methodology has most suitable for Construction Field.
