What kind of errors and mistakes that may face a data entry clerk in his/her work?

- Data Entry requires meticulous attention to detail.
- Lack of concentration and boredom can lead to simple mistakes being made.
- Good idea to work without distractions when doing this work e.g.
mobile phones, chatting in between work, although this is not always possible.
- Double check work and do a final proof reading before finally saving work - it's amazing how simple errors can be made and overlooked.
Better still get someone else to check it over as sometimes staring at the same information for too long the eyes can miss errors.

Wrong date.
wrong selection of account's head, wrong amount.
wrong cheque number,

lost focus..
negligence..
wasting time in doing & finishing work..
no concentration to the work assigned..
data encoder requires full attention, focus & approximate performance & keen checking in the data which you entered..
after everything was done..
review is the best last resort...

Having an error or mistake in the date, selecting the of title account, amount, cheque number, etc.

Basically an data entry operator errors are typographical such as wrong type of amount,,  price, name and other information. The main reason for the errors lack of attention, negligence of the job, didn;t research, no enough source data, lazy and no focus

Double check work and do a final proof reading before finally saving work - it's amazing how simple errors can be made and overlooked.

When data is final and complete but when critically watch that shows lack of complete information or have to re-arrange.
