Dear Dana,
== I would like to configure out that Pharmaceutical Research is the practical application of Pharmaceutical Science discipline, that can be studied and specialized at academic study in part of Pharmacy Specialty study.
== A pharmaceutical researcher is on the cutting edge of the drug industry. Medicine manufacturing companies are part of one of the fastest growing manufacturing industries in the world. This type of Researcher is involved in developing research for all kinds of new medicines for humans and animals.
== The Academic study statement of this discipline is based on
=1= providing students interested in the multidisciplinary basic sciences that relate to drug discovery, development, and commercialization with classroom and experiential education that spans the pharmaceutical sciences and liberal arts, thus, imparting skills and knowledge that allow pursuit of diverse opportunities in pharmaceutical or related applications, research, or professional/graduate education.
=2= providing a well-rounded undergraduate education with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical sciences, and integrating knowledge with hands-on experience to enhance career path development.
=3= At BS.c study:
- Pharmaceutical Sciences study begins with a foundation of coursework in mathematics and the basic sciences (chemistry, biology, physics).
- This inter-disciplinary program then progresses to advanced coursework in the pharmaceutical sciences, including aspects of drug design and synthesis, mechanisms of drug action, pharmacology and toxicology, dosage formulation, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- The study curriculum also includes elective credits for individual preparation and educational focus.
- During study program, there will be encouraging for practical experience through Internship Programs and Cooperative Opportunities in industry, government agencies, and on-campus research laboratories. Many of undergraduate research opportunities are available in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, and in the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy. by this way, Students can acquire practical learning opportunities in a variety of industrial settings as well as internship/research experience.
=4= While the Graduate study (MS.c and PhD) is applicable to students with science-oriented degrees such as pharmacy, Pharmacology, engineering, chemistry, or biochemistry and students majoring encompass other physical or biological types of study. This program study focuses on:
-- advancing the current knowledge of candidate students in traditional pharmaceutical science and integrating the great strides being made in genomics and molecular and cellular pharmaceutics into a new understanding of pharmaceutical science.
- Scientists graduating from graduate program works with competitive advantage in pursuing successful careers in academia, regulatory agencies, and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
- During this study, students are delivered by didactic coursework and research training need to excel in their challenging field, to get a master of science (MS) or a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in pharmaceutical science.
- Besides, they also receive in parallel to their study by training and utilizing the latest technologies at several levels: chemical, cellular, molecular, genomic, biochemical, and clinical, and giving them a flexibility opportunities to be customized for the academic and research interests.
That's all and Best regards
Lubna

Get in to a Bachelor's degree in the field of science most applicable to your chosen branch of specialization that is Relevant degree programs that includes genetics, pharmacy, biochemistry or pre-med.
Then I prefer you to work as internship in to some pharmaceutical industry during your term breaks
Then get the master's degree in particular field. You'll need one if you want to become a top scientist, though a Bachelor's degree will generally suffice to get your foot in the door at a pharmaceutical company.
