The sales process needs coordination between several departments, like marketing, business development, customer services, operations, finance, warehousing, collections, technical support, ....

Usually bad coordination in an organization or company can decrease its productivity no matter what. However, for more clarification, allow me to give an example. Let us someone has to market a new mobile phone, and due to lack of good communication between the employees of different departments, some of the features were missed. This would cause for bad publicity. Finance is the department responsible for money which includes budget. If lack of coordination happens let us say between finance and marketing, the marketers might end up with an add which exceeds the budget. In a house, coordination is a must between the members. Then, in an organization it is no longer an option; it is just something natural. Employees just have to work together and have good communication skills. Hope this was helpful.
Coordination is like a spinal cord for any sales company/department, if the coordination and department is not having a proper understanding between eachother then it can go down in no time which will be a great lose.
AGREED SIR,,,, COORDINATION FOR RAPID,CONSISTENT SALES PROCESS IS A MUST...
Well sir i think without coordination between department not create an organization , it means whole organization is not organize , and every organization objective is to get profit , profit come from business/ sale , so A lack of coordination in an organization can decrease productivity, complicate processes and delay the completion of tasks. In order to coordinate the efforts of an entire organization, the organization requires a systematic integration of a process that creates accountability within the organization. Implementing this type of process allows inter-departmental coordination throughout the organization between employees
I believe the solution is
From your question i understand the coordination between departments is important for sales process. That is the reason you have mentioned " Bad " coordination. Anything Bad will have an adverse effect on any process may it be sales or production. Most of the efforts put by any organisation on their employees by way of functional & Managerial training is to make the whole team to work in coordination which will lead to a smooth operation of the business.
bad coordination will affect the track of information between emplyees and will affect the customers trust in the organization
Nowadays, coordination between different departments in an organization is really emerging to be very very crucial for the organizational efficiency.
For instance in my internship experience, in an organizational like the Free Zone Authority, the clients deals with the marketing department agents and they guide the clients with the initial set up procedures. This then goes to the accounts department for the payment of different services provided by the authority. Once this is completed, the operations department is also made known of this to provide the accurate operational services. Then the PR department and HR department becomes vital in terms of approving employees for the particular organization.
This cycle chain of process should exist in all organizations. To bring out better sales, it is important for the suggestions, innovations, proposals & opinions of different departments like: human resources, marketing, operations, accounts, etc.
I totally agree with this that all departments should obviously coordinate well to achieve organizational targets...!!

it is can be explained as
if you have pregnant woman to deliver healthy babe she must pass at least7 months of pregnancy if there is any defect at any month it may be cause abortion or illness of the babe
sales like babe to deliver healthy you must pass at least7 department . sales ,marketing, customer services, finance, warehousing, collections, technical support
if there is no coordination between them it will abort the sales process or make delay or customer upset.
so
to complete the process must coordinate between department
Hi Ibrahim,
Good evening. In my opinion, bad co-ordination in inter department can spoil any process. In regards sales, if there is bad co-ordination between inter departments related to sales there can be severe affect on sales process. Like, in case marketing it could affect on promotions which has to happen at right time to create impact on targeted population. In regards business development it could adversely affect on planning which is depend on majorly depend on market information, sales process, trend of organization and several other factors etc. In regards, customer services it could affect on customer service satisfaction. In regards, finance budget could get affect or delay in the process. In regards, warehousing it could affect very badly as it could either inventory cost or lost of sales due to unavailability of product. In short, it could product waste of efforts, resources, brand image and waste of money.
