Would you depend on ALIBABA.com to source your spares and equipment your industry needs or you still rely on Euro/ Jap. or USA Mega brands ? and Why?

ALIBABA IS THE FASTEST GROWING COMPANY REGARDING SOURCING ,,,, I LIKE THAT PORTAL,,,,,,,,

Sites like Alibabaareba good source of commercial business. But decision to buy from suppliers of alibaba or from your approved supplier depends upon the nature and criticality of the part being procured. He's. If the item is of generic nature we can go for alibaba, but if the nature of the spare is critical to the machine or the end product coming out of the machine, then one should not take un necessary chances.

I might depend on Alibaba.com for sourcing as this might create some opportunities for e-commerce being the biggest Internet IPO since Google’s.

Also, Alibaba provides a point-and-click system for suppliers to get online and connect with distributors and consumers all over the world. 

Cautious Business men  might depend on visting china either in Trade fair or visit a list of possible / nominated suppliers  to check their capabilities

 

and for critical equipment depend on famous Brand Name suppliers from Europe

All sources for procure the products are better. But all that depend on the procured part or equipment that what is place of its use sensitive critical or normal in working machinery and what life required. And sometime urgency of requirement . After that we will decided to purchase the parts or equipment after finalized costing evaluation . But all is routine working. Urgency will happen only then if our replenishment and inventory control system will not work properly or unexpert.

Any one search to get an agent , you must search on ali baba to know the average prices of the needed equipment , then you can search on Euro / Jap to find the required equipment agents . 

From my point of view , I think I will work any place any time with the one who will provide me best Quality with law prices.

Sometimes, I use Alibaba and it is useful but not for all equipment. 

ALI BABA is a good portal for refernce for world wide suppliers. And as far as quality is concerned you can always verify the supplier by asking for refernces from them or enquiring from trade house for their quality measures
