Thank you so much............. for giving me an opportunity to share my views...

Actually, your question is an answer to one of the most frequently asked questions i.e. "What it takes to get promoted"?.

In my opinion if due to some reason your boss is not in office or is busy in some other assignment, you have to handle his jobs. If you effectively handle your boss's job and top management is aware of that. I am sure very soon when the next opportunity arises, you will get promoted.

My view point on this particular statement is different " Most of the people after completing one year in organisation and after achieving few targets they start believing that " they can do their Boss job in much better way and can accomplish much more and after that they start taking very lightly the instructions or advises". They expect some promotions with bigger responsibilities but sometimes it may not come due to some other factors. So they start feeling frustration and ultimately they look out for job in other companies where they can get better role with bigger responsibilities.

Most of them get succeed and get into new role after one month they will start feeling the real heat of pressure for delivering results and very few will succeed in this situation how to manage pressure and get along with flow and these people will definitely become net worth employees for any organisation.

Other people who cannot manage they will quit and look for some other job in some other companies and few people they realise their mistake and try approach old company or boss for job.

in case of boss's absence, someone (may be I'm) will get the position as interim boss and this person have to act as a boss. this someone should be prepared well for such situation.

"it is not my thinking it should be a company's thinking"
