That depends upon the character of a person and how he creates a working atmosphere for himself in the organisation. Some are serious at work...some are humorous....some are talkative.....some keep aloof....but there will be expertise in every one for a particular work. What to count and More positive factor is how qualitative and contributive you are at work.
To me I am a hard worker, accommodate my team in a reasonable way not too high not too low, whatever may be their nature. All My work will be quality and with utmost finishing both utility side and perfection side.

Being different and better needs from me the following:
Continuous research and update on everything related to my field.
Continuous attendance of training sessions to receive more information.
Continuous search for problems that face me at my work field and work on finding the solutions. this means preparing a backup plan and not leaving myself to face obstacles.
I am different from others as I consider this not as my Job, but as my passion. When I am assigned a work, I give it my100%. If it is related to a subject where I do not have much knowledge, I speak to as many experts as possible, collect the necessary knowledge, seek guidance and execute it to my satisfaction. I take my work to closure and I always keep the customer's interest in the forefront.
