thats the most difficult thing i guess.
A professional must have the courage and learn to oppose to the unproductive ideas of seniors. A very common style is that listen to the idea and start with "You are right, however i feel we may consider" and describe your view point.
Remember that your boss has more steaks than you and If you are logical and your view point has weight, it would be considered

Being aggressive or over agreeable (non-assertive) to him.

A respectful, thoughtful approach will always trump an aggressive, demanding approach to the discussion. Having facts available that are convincing is helpful.
FIRST OF ALL BOSS IS ALWAYS ON RIGHT, SECOND THING EVERY ONE HAVE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES OF WORK SO WE DON'T HAVE TO SAY NO BOOS YOU ARE NOT RIGHT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. YOU SHOULD SAY LIKE THIS. SIR I LIKE YOUR IDEA OR DECISION BUT SIR I HAVE ALSO AN IDEA TO SAVE MONEY TIME AND HAVE GOOD RESULT.

could have taken him for the smoking shelter and shared my ideas with him (only if my boss is a smoke).
if not i would have mailed or texted him my my ideas in whatsapp.. because in whatsapp every1 ready every message:)
I will draw up a cost benefit analysis of my bosses idea vs my own idea. After which we sit on the table and we discus and evaluate both ideas. If my boss still insists that his or her idea is the most appropriate i will follow it though with caution and i will know that we have discussed this before and everything is on writing therefore i am not responsible for any damage.
