International standards for food safety management system
ISO 22000 had laid down standards for total quality management giving emphasize to food safety and quality. The standard was last revised in the year 2005. The clauses of the standard cover various aspects like document control, management of resources, HACCP, Verification of Critical control points, Operational pre-requisites, and validation of CCP. The standard also emphasizes on management commitment, food safety team, internal audits, control of nonconformities, traceability and emergency preparedness.
