Concrete pavement requires less repair and maintenance over time, less energy and fuel is needed for heavy construction equipment. By reducing the amount of fuel used by cars, trucks and maintenance equipment, we reduce nation dependence on oil. Not only that, but trucks use less fuel (15-20% less) when traveling on concrete. That keeps the cost of transporting goods down, and it means lower emissions from vehicles.
Thank you for invitation>>>
I am with answer of En. Jafar and En. Fouad Ahmed.
I think yes
Thank you my dear friend about your invitation ,,,the Concrete road belongs to rigid pavement and they do not deflect under traffic loads. On the contrary, bituminous pavement deflects when subjected to vehicular load. As such, for concrete road no extra effort is paid on getting out of deflected ruts which is commonly encountered for bituminous pavement , Hence, vehicles using concrete road use less energy and there is about15-20% less fuel consumed when using concrete road when compared with bituminous road.
Very comprehensive answers by Mr. Saqaf and Mr. Fouad.
not necessarily when the condition of the roads is perfectly good
