Teachers need to adapt to the age of the students. So if the students are very young they need more attention, care, fun and games to study their lessons.

While if they are more teenagers then the teacher must be like their friend and listen to their needs, worries, problems, anxieties. The teacher should listen more.

Back in school, we adore the discussion hour. The teacher used to introduce a subject and we used to give our opinions.

Bottom line the more the teacher listens to students the more they will adore the material and i mean any material even if geometry.

Knowing psychology of your students is part of the skills of a professional teacher. It makes easy to handle students with different mind level and having a variety of approaches to various issues.

I treat my students like a parent, regardless of their age. It gives me a wider vision to treat them in a genuine way. My approach is student centered which caters almost all their requirements. We keep on our journey with a relationship of mutual respect, love, building morality, confidence, trust, friendship to achieve the goal - learn to serve.

I like to think of myself as a professional teacher although I know I am not. For over15 years of active teaching experience, I still haven't captured the right formula on how to really handle a tough class. Of course, if you have an easy-going class, you will enjoy teaching it and the teaching-learning process will be very fruitful. However, most of the time, you're faced with difficult cases, and sometimes it is scary, especially that the human psychology has evolved and has become more complex and youngsters and adolescents have become more subtle and creative in messing up your class. I can only say one thing; I try to build a bridge of respect and friendship with all my students and try to be as close to them as possible and as far from them as possible at the same time. I am their friend and mentor but not their pal.

Every child is unique with different abilities and talents. Some might have special problem they are either not aware or cannot describe it to the teacher. Therefore, it is prudent, as a teacher, you start through daily observation, data keeping of the children, and researching into their background to make an informed decision of their learning. You also at this point become learning while the child becomes the teacher. Finally Teachers must act 'in loco parentis'.
