Before any project planning, the first stage is Initiation. The project needs to be initiated by PMO after the sponsor agrees to fund the project cost after initial understanding of the benefits. Without necessary funding no projects can progress. Hence Initiation plays the key phase in PMLC.
Ist: Inspection and Site Visit
2nd: Consolidate, Gather/Collect the Field Data (obtained during the Inspection and Site Visit), and
3rd: Feasibility Study
Three are various stages of any type of planning. The most important are the Aim (Where the absolute requirement is defined) then is the Scope/Nature (This where you elaborate the requirement and also clearly define what are the various phases, in which the plan will be rolled out or accomplished). Then in the middle are the ways & means, causes & affects etc. The last stage would be have alternatives or contingencies to achieve the aim.
Mapping : Here, one makes a road to plan his activities, also a track sheet till the plan comes in execution stage & finally rolling begins .
Initiation phase. In this phase, all about the decision making of the project, business analysis, and project charter preparation.
Initiating....in this stage we decide the ground which we will step in .
