It depends on the Business requirement whether to choose MS –Excel or SAP. MS -Excel is a great office tool but SAP is an ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) and if you have less data with limited database, you can use MS- Excel or using ERP like SAP is a wise option.
well, it depends on why are you using it.
EXCEL is more user friendly and more suitable for those with beginner skills in MS Office however its not capable of many functions available in \\SAP
sap is an Integrated Accounting System Enhanced EPR but MS Excel is a helper program to do your Accounting duties
It depends upon the work load and size of company.
MS EXCEL is user friendly and easy to use as well as less costly and installed on every PC separately, but SAP is costly and used for large scale data management and require one dedicated server system.
EXECL is open platform to perform analysis in the way and dimension you want we can set your own parameters, we can import any data, compare with any data transforming the data into desired information. Whereas SAP will give us the information according to the set parameters and available data, we can enhance the reporting by changing the parameters and dimensions but it requires more time. Once the parameters are set then it will be very useful.
In my opinion all routine reports can best be done by SAP and other Ad-hoc reports esp. which requires external information can be better done in Excel.
