As an example, the pharmaceutical industry has a very strict hygiènic procedures,
training and awarness sessions should be administrated before any job occupation.
In return to our employee case, should probably a good turkish hammam take it very privately !
Thanks for the invitation
Good & important question
In my point of view that :
Here on the director to provide professional advice and personal advice to the employee are friendly and respectful and should not be on the injured employee's manager and feeling must be individually with the employee and away from the rest of the members of the working group.
The aim is to change employee behavior and personal or professional interest in appearance and cleanliness and that commensurate with his career and his place in the company and the development of the company as well too
Teach him (courses)
Give the employee a chance to respond, if he/she wants to. Showing you're willing to help is better than standing ground on a "change, or else" demand. Suggest that the employee visit a doctor or dentist, if they tell you that they already practice good hygiene habits. But if the employee denies there's a problem at all, you may have to get him/her to face facts, for example, by telling the employee that co-workers spray air freshener after he/she comes around.
These are all connected with self discipline. Will try to indirectly convey the message through a general circular without harming self respect of any one else.
Well, I will have a one-o-one discussion with him and will suggest him to be hygiene, dress well and pay attention to himself. I will explain him that staying hygiene, and energetic not only gives a good impression to others, but it gives self-confidence and will boost one's self performance...
Be kind and share the benefits of minimum expected change.
This happens when people are ignorant about the basics of life. No one will do anything wrong if they knew it is wrong. Hence as a manger I consider it to be part of my duty to educate or bring the mistake to his awareness without hurting his Ego. I have seen even well educated persons from respectable and affluent families with low level of hygiene.
before the first day of work, especially in restaurants and shops of course you should send him to hygiene trainings or stuffs like that, or train him yourself, then give him the idea that it is a must to comply in such hygiene rules and regulations. Second, if still he is unable to cope up, then you have to talk to him personally about his hygiene problem and give him advise or situation which can occur whenever an employee has a poor personal hygiene, after that tell him that he will be under observation regarding this issue. You have to be prompt, professional, straightforward, but of course, you have to think of how he will feel regarding the situation, so, you have to think of the words that you will use or the way of talking to him. In anyways he may feel bad about it. but of course, if you can lessen the "felt bad" feeling, it would be better.
By Discussion, Awareness, Proper training and Motivation.
I agree with mr. Vrindavan. Then I will try to talk to him separately and try to discuss possible actions for improvement taking privacy into consideration.
