Oh , Eng. Fathy, welcome back I miss sharing our ideas and thank you for the invitation

It depends on many factors the newer job offer what else rather than money ? what about their reputation, future and stability?

if your answers was on +ve scale then i encourage you to leave as double salary with these last mentioned benefits would be great and outstanding but if not then keep working at your current job

so it is an equation make balance between your current job and your coming offer which is better and which suits u more.

on other hand, in Egypt nowadays the market is going to be open again and hence double salary would be suitable for the next stage too.

about leaving your current company, be loyal advise about your leave one month before make sure that someone will replace you in your job of area then leave safely.

Have GOOD challenge

Mina

The decision to stay or go depends upon factors not given in the scenario.  If double salary is the only variable and other workplace conditions (position, supervision level, growth potential, etc.) remain constant, the decision is made and the focus needs to be on not burning any bridges while leaving the current role.     But if money isn't the only change, further analysis needs to be conducted prior to making the decision to leave or stay.  For example,  perhaps one position would result in dissatisfaction at work.  So an attempt should be made to determine potential job satisfaction (or lack thereof) at the new position. If the new position doubles salary, but has no growth potential, this should ideally be known prior to making the decision to go or to stay.  If one role is as part of a team, but the other is not, this may have an impact on the decision as well.     If the decision is ultimately made to take on the new role, the losing company needs to be given the opportunity to react.  Perhaps the current employer values the contributions made in the last four months and as a result will make efforts to match the salary of the new position.  An open discussion should be conducted regarding the situation.  What needs to be related to the losing management should include the following points:  (1) the current position and opportunity have been appreciated, but a new opportunity has presented itself that is going to be accepted; (2) financially, there is no choice but to accept the new position; and (3) the hope remains that a professional relationship can be maintained in the future.

For me, when I am comfortably placed with recognition and consideration for self respect, monitory attractions are secondary to me .

Dear Mr. Ahmed, It depends on other factors. These factors include new company reputation and its strength in the market (is it going up or down), the growth potentials, the position and stability. About what to say, just be honest and tell the truth to your current employer

This is truly unfortunate with anybody in life, but I will fulfil my commitment to the previous company even at the  cost of loss of remuneration & I am sure with this type of approach & loyalty as well as dedication no organisation will like to loose you for salary as the reason.

Read the following story, and then decide: "Since I was in high school, I have dreamed of working at my current job. A few years out of college and I was offered a position here as a paralegal and it has truly been (mostly) amazing. I have a great boss, the job is interesting, rewarding and I have a lot of freedom and time off, reasonable commute, my own office. I only hate it about10% of the time. The catch: it pays very very very little (FI pays most of the bills for us, but we are not able plan for a future (house, kids, etc), build a savings or spend money for “fun” things and are not paying down his credit/student loan debt because of my salary). My job also doesn’t allow for raises because the budget is what it is and there is no way to move “up” because I am not becoming an attorney. Because of this, I interviewed for a position that has great learning potential (Executive Asst.), would allow for career advancements down the road, and pays literally double my current salary, but would have longer commute, cubicle, longer hours, etc. I have since been offered the new position. Now I am at a crossroads, do I take the job that offers double and has great potential or do I stay at a job I know I love but that I am growing to resent more and more because of the pay? I am leaning towards taking the new job since it has great potential for my future to move up and so that I can help FI with the bills finally, and start planning for our future together instead of starting our marriage in debt."
