What do you think are the business skills that will never go out of style?

I believe once you learn a skill it stays with you for life, some you can develop and excel in and others will help in times of need or unexpected circumstances. 

Saying that however I do believe there are certain skills which are more advantageous than others such as;

- Communication - whether it's methods of comms, how many languages you speak or your approach towards communication, that is an essential factor in all businesses towards their success.

- Leadership and management - these two combined will increase your level of experience, knowledge and understanding of not only the business you work in, but give you a sense of direction in accordance with different command chains within different sectors and organisations. These could be inclusive of people, time, resources, projects etc...

- Interpersonal skills - the stronger the better specially in the world of business because competition keeps rising and you have to uniquely stand out in order to impress or capture the attention of the opponent.

- Decision making and problem solving - having an eye for detail and precision in your output, being able to identify, construct, examine and make decisions based on evidence or facts rather than own beliefs, opinions or influence. Having the confidence in taking responsibility for certain decisions and usefully using criticism for improvements.

- People skills - this is the most import at one, because this doesn't only help you in the world of work but also life in general. The ability to empathise, communicate, show compassion, care, motivation, support and encouragement towards people whether colleagues, management, family members, friends or even acquaintances will benefit you in the long run.
