How do you encourage team work for huge teams in projects?

Hi, For huge team to manage firstly one has to identify the  priorities ,what he needs to work on or weak link in the team where he can work upon and show improvements ,which will build the confidence of the entire team. It should be a more of task management give small task to each one and get thing working for him. And the major thing which I believe is motivation and appreciation for small successes which will always lift up team to achieve goals.
