As a PM do you like to keep your sponsors involved in details or you think general knowledge is better?

Transparency with details that has anything to do with their side of the project.

it differs from a sponsor to another based on the type of the sponsor and how much involved is he in my projects. Some times it is good to involve sponsors in big projects that whether they have huge economic impact, high profits, great impact on community …etc which make the interested sponsors committed when they are aware of these details.
