Many discussions and discourse agree that there is difference of traits between Manager and Leader as both have different orientations. So how do you align to be both at same time to keep manager's quality who assures things are done to tie up company objectives and at the same time being a leader to add humane value for subordinates.

LEADER OR MANAGER ARE NOT THE TITLE / POSITION / FLOW CHARTS ....... IT IS BASICALLY AN ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE............... SO MY VIEW IS THAT MANAGER WILL BE A SIMPLE MANAGER IN HIS/HER LIFE.......... LEADER WILL BE A LEADER BY HIS/HER ATTITUDE THROUGH OUT .......
I see myself as a leader more than a manager.
Working as a transformational managers leads and paves the way to become a leader while working as a transactional manager leads to being a good manager but will not exult in any apparent leadership qualities and qualifications.
Currently, I work as a freelance consultant, so I wont be able to answer based on a position at a company. However, I see myself more as a leader than a manager. I like identifying personal capabilities and motivate them to use it efficiently. I believe motivation and inspiration can do miracle in people, that's where I used to focus on, and believe had excellent experience with that. But that doesn't mean that I left the planning and organizing capabilities away, which are the main characteristics of a manager.
I like to be leader even in school life.
Leadership skill is compulsory for a manager.
Thanks for the invitation
Well........Good question
Leadership talent rather than a profession
Director always have to follow the leader
Overall,I am always trying to develop my
skills , my abilities and special talents
To be distinctive and effective in the field of specialized vocational
I look myself as a Team Leader as well as in my working area to be a Manager. Rating would be difficult, it depends on nature of work. For example, Team approach for Team Leader and hierarchy approach for Manager.
A Manager balances between organization/ company and all its resources including manpower, whereas the Leader focuses mainly on people management. Perhaps, Leader is a subset of Manager.
we can be manager good manager and trustful leader when with your action gets good and expected results. When there is no result , then be happy to leave your place to somebody else. You may be a good fit elsewhere.
I would say...100% Leader & 100% Manager at same time.
