If he/she is a junior try influencing him/her
if he/she is a senior it will better to quit as soon as you find an alertenative
Vinod, Aashish - If you stay put, you will be part of a failing team even if you are very productive yourself, because the efforts you put in would go unrecognized and drowned out by the failings of the company as a whole. And on the other hand if you decide to quit, the least you can do is make your voice heard and speak to the Assistant Head about the ''boss's'' failings, (maybe your bravery will count to something) even if it will get you the sack, at least you tried for the sake of the company..?
I can say if he/she if are a paid ceo / md -then wait for his/her resignation / retirement to act and perform because till he/she is there your actions will be unnoticed . If he/she is an employer - look for a new job / assignment & quit when you feel comfortable commercially . Otherwise, if you a non performer yourself than just work -9 to5.30 type of job and go back home and atleast give time to your family members and be happy .
Leave the firm and find a good job else you will be wasted.

If it's your call, you have to do something about it.
Can you do something about it if he is the major shareholder?
Put up or leave it.
That company will never progress. Better for you is to quit because he will never listen to anyone.
Unite to Correct him with the strings in your hand.
Try to find people who have same notion and are resolute to try and do better for the company Unite and form front and create a common ground with person second in command.Before taking a final call think the chips are not down and do your best to help the company prosper.If you fail in your endeavor then find other company.
This normally does not happen. Why should the head of the company dig his own grave? More over I have seen junior level employees talking as if they are the most able men in the organisation. They Think no end of themselves. These type of employees in the organisation will never do anything good to the organisation. Company will improve if such employees quit. I must say that you are not wedded to the company you are working for. If you do not have future in any organisation then it is better to quit than to blame the head of the organisation. There is another angle to it. we neither know why the head is behaving so nor have the right to judge.
If you see there is something wrong, try to change by advising, commenting, suggesting and every method you can find to influence. If you can't, I won't advice you to live with it, as this will harm you soon or later.
