Steel structures are considered mostly earthquake resistant due to withstanding tension, bearing resistance in the inelastic range and ductility which may be observed in a material itself, in a structural element, or to a whole structure.

Steel structure because steel can with stand tension and having yeilding capacity to resist rupture against lateral movements.
