A client is coming to you for a solution for his requirement; he need the product or service and much more in a personalized way/professional environment. Even a street vendor can be a professional if he is explaining to him as per the customers expectation than purchasing from a shop with no personal care.
A 'client' expect professionalism that is at his choice.
If the business approach is professional, your 'customer' is automatically becomes your 'client'. A client is a customer at the same time a customer need not be a client. The separation of 'customer' and 'client' is not based on their status but is based on 'your status'.
