I do not think that employers care about too much about their employees retention
hoping this would be really the case the best way to do it is by applying a fair and measurable incentive system.

Therefore be dispensed with if the surplus and the opposite error is the right company and the employee together

Only few organisations consider greatly the impact of turnover of their employees. In spite of huge cost involved ( for recruitment) majority of the companies do not have formal retention programme.
I expect the following will be beneficial for retention of employees:-

3. Use contest and incentives.
4. Conduct 'stay' interview instead on concentrating 'exit' interviews'.
5. RE-interview the employee and find out their suggestions and feedback. ( always seniors feel they are neglected or ignored). This will help them to be more active and passionate towards the job.
Growth and learning opportunities should be there to retain the employees at work place along with the comfortable work environment.
Associate them with the company/brand
They must feel proud to be identified as staff of your company/brand
If that happens, they feel family and work becomes home
