What are your methods to ensuring your writing is technically accurate?

I usually ensure (technical) accuracy of my writing by verifying information from my sources. They their quotes on the beat being covered. 

Format of writing is also important, specially when I am covering a very scientific topic. The best way to ensure my notations are current and specific to topic is for me to stay connected with the relative journalism societies, who provide the latest information.

For human interest stories, I spend extra time making sure I have the full picture.
