Primarily, I think, it's because enthusiasm is infectious. The more passion you bring with a topic, or into the classroom, the more your students want to hear about it. The more interested they are in what you have to say. And that's the first step in getting through to them.
Also, when you show enthusiasm in something it sparks their interest. They're curious: "What's so interesting or exciting about this topic?" They listen closely so as to find out. And that is the best thing that could happen for a teacher!
Lastly, I think enthusiasm is an open kind of emotion. It sort of shows the world your passion, your true personality, your likes and your commitment. It basically opens a window into showing others who you are and what you believe in. I think students feel more connected to a teacher who is able to bring that emotion into the classroom. They can identify with the teacher on a personal level and that really works in holding their attention and maybe even sparking their own interest.
Students are the future leaders. They need to learn what they need to face challenges. You should instill enthusiasm and interest of learning into their brain and so you should show.
It's part of my mission ! showing enthusiasm to students it's a must even more if they were weak
This is important, for everybody, everybody needs to feel appreciated is his/her work. So it doesn't matter with whom you work, If you love your work you always do it with interest and enthusiasm, so you can work wit anybody
Kids feed off that energy. If you show them that this another day working with students and how bored you are with it then the kids will pick up that same energy while attempting to learn. If you are an uppity person, enthusiastic, happy to teach then the students will look forward to coming into the class.
