Do you find it easier to express yourself through your native language or through using the English language? And why?

Well...I have an unfair advantage because English is my native language. In many ways English may be more efficient in reaching a wider audience because, worldwide, English is often used as an international language. However, I am in the process of learning Arabic and find Arabic a much fuller language. The written words are directly translatable into the verbal language and do not have exceptions to rules that plague non-native English speakers. I also find Arabic words and syntax are able to express meanings and fine nuances that the English language is not capable of expressing. So I think Arabic is a much fuller language and more expressive language but until I become fluent in Arabic (and it will take some time), I will have to settle for English as the language I can easily and fully express myself in.

Despite having Arabic as my native language, I find English more efficient and suitable in many circumstances since I tend to stutter in Arabic. I have had the opportunity to compare the use of the language in various workplaces, and it proved to be the best way to convey information in the fastest way possible. Arabic tends to go in circles and oft times, the speakers misses the point of is forced to go back to square one.
