What is the duty/responsibility of QA/QC Engineer?

To check and ensure that the work done is as per Project Specification, Method Statement and as per approved shop drawings. Also to ensure that all approved and Inspected materials are used.

To raise NCR and initiate corrective action if the work done is not as per Specification, Method Statement or as per approved shop drawing.

Make internal inspection and after verifying the work done, raise Inspection for client/consultant Inspection.

Duties and responsibilty of QA/QC Engineer is to check the quality and assurance of the product as per design and specification of the work.

Responsible for all aspects related to Project quality assurance and quality control.Preparation of the Project Specific Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, check-sheets and related procedures.Implementation of the Quality Management & Control programme for the project.Daily site inspection and periodical offsite inspection.Controlling all inspection activities on site.Completion of necessary documentation to verify the work performed.Ensuring that inspection requests are implemented.Ensuring that all test reports are verified to meet the contract requirements.To ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and conform to specified requirements.Issue and administer Non Conformance Reports as necessary and ensure follow up.Report to the Project Manager any deficiencies in the operation of Quality Management & Control System.Completion of final quality documentation in a presentable manner, in accordance with the conditions of contract.Responsible for overseeing/audits of subcontractor Quality Management systems.

QA QC Engineer Responsibilities and Duties

Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.

Review quality of all materials at site and ensure compliance to all project specifications and quality and collaborate with department for all material procurement and maintain quality of materials.

Supervise effective implementation of all test and inspection schedule and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.

Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain quality of all systems. Manage lifting of all equipments and handle efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per required schedule. Analyze all products and non conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance. Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements. Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.

QA should be a person from design department assure the quality of material for different members in structure while QC must be a person of construction/executed department to do the job on same standard quality.

Organize, implement, conduct and manage the QA/QC Programs as per the Company's Quality Policy.

2. Coordinate the document controls of technical submittals, drawings, etc with the Project Team and to ensure that the QA/QC validation has been done, to ensure their issue, amendments and recall of controlled documents.

3. Coordinate all inspections, monitor the required tests and record inspections and tests made pas the Contract Plan and Contract Specifications.

4. Liaise with the Client's representatives for the conduct of day-to-day quality related project activities.

5. Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding work performance and hold authority to stop work in any area where discrepancies remain uncorrected and/or cancel the stop work order upon satisfactory correction of noted deficiencies.

6. Provide technical support to the Project Manager and guidance to site staff in submission of materials for approval, request for inspection, shop drawings, As-built drawings, O & M manual.

7. Assist QA/QC Manager in conducting internal quality audits.

8. Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) are raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices.

9. Coordinate with the project staff to compile and maintain pertinent records of inspection and testing until end of the contract and all pertinent records for retention on completion of the project.

10. Attend Monthly Project Review Meetings (PRM) and alert the project team of any potential problems.

1. Checking electrical materials received at site as detailed on ITP, verify compliance with procurement, project requirements. Raising RFI of material. 2. Goes around to check the quality of work/material/ activities to confirm if it is as per customer requirement. Raising RFI for finished work. 3. Checking electrical installations and ensure that it is as per installation ITPs, method of statement, approved contract drawing and installation instructions. Raising RFI for finished work. 4. Raising NCR if there is any violence of project requirements.
