Personally after a series of failure interviews where I've been waiting for replies for weeks but no one called because apparently the professional world is not all about professional people , I found a really good job and played it well.... just signed my first contract and very pleased about it (thank God) .... the whole thing took me a little less than two months but it was NOT easy at all !
What I hate most about finding a job is the condition called " experience ", how can I get3 or5 years of experience if I was fresh graduated?!. and that's why I'm still a job seeker!

I'm am unemployed for about almost2,5 years...since then I had some smalls jobs etc like call center, salesman, restaurants...while my dream job doesn't come. It has been tough years, can't dream to much or the fall will be bigger. But I am faith that my luck will change, it must!!
I left my work middle of march2013. Since then I've supported myself and my family through my Voiceover business and My Creative Services company.
I did apply for a number of positions abroad but have had no luck, I think mainly because I am a practicing Muslim and Advertising agencies don't like their employees telling them that they cannot work on certain projects. I also think that it bothers them that one of their team might think that some of their projects are Haraam (religiously impermissible).
I've had my voiceover business since late2008 and its a good source of income (www.mahmoudtaji.com if you're interested in checking it out). But since I left the corporation I worked for last (I was there for nearly9 years) I have also done Branding , Script writing and Copywriting work which has allowed me to make a steadier income than if I only did voiceovers.
I love being my own boss but the irregularity of income is my major reason in seeking a full time job. Although I live in Egypt I no longer wish to live or work here because of the tumultuous political environment and the lack of overall security for my children.
So although I could probably land a job here in the land of the Pharaohs if I put my back into getting one. I would much rather find work in one of the GCC states as the majority of them are politically more stable and probably also pay better.

it takes along along along time to work in my special study
but the best is to take advantage of your unemployed by taking courses and completing you study don't be lazy and try to search on a job without losing enthusiasm.
I graduated in2010, in civil engineering, unfortunately it was the height of the recession and everywhere i applied said that experience is required, have since been bouncing from restuarants to chip shops even worked with a builder in the hope to make some contacts. Its been three years and to be honest i have almost given up now i think after this year will have to say it wasn't to be...
Am even willing to work for free just to get that required experience. :(
