Does being good at drawing on papers mean you can be good at drawing on graphics tablets as well?

it depend on how much you use this tablet..
everything has to have time using and practicing it to be a good user ..
If you play guitar perfectly doesn't mean that you play violin perfectly..
but you could do if you practiced well..
this is how I see it..

Drawing on paper and on graphic tablets are both tools that need training and practice.
You may be good at drawing on pencil but if you've never used a tablet, you'll need some time to learn how to use it.
That comes with practice.

Well, personally, I feel that it takes some getting used to, yes.
When drawing by pencil/pen and paper, there is no actual intermediary; you leave the lines that you see on the paper to the actual scale you've drawn it.
It's basic and intuitive.
However, when drawing with a pen/pencil tablet, you've alot more to account for; the pressure, the NEW location of the output, the type of brush you're using and it's attributes...it's still a much more straightforward equipment to use for drawing than a mouse or a touch-pad, for sure, but it's not something you'll get straightaway.
However, when you get used to it, it opens up a whole new world of media that you have access to, including the flexibility and variety in colors, brush types, etc.
that you could only get so much of using pens, pencils and paints.
(Less messy, too.)

Most probably , if you can draw on a paper, you can draw as good as that on Tablet as well.
It may need some time to get used to the Technology but later you may find it easier than manual pencil and paper drawing.

You must taste the technology to some extend, but the real taste is on paper with ur favorite lead2b,4b,6b or even with raw charcoal stick.
you must meat both sides.
We can't live without gadget and needs but not the shoulders of our history.
Tablet remind us how we start writing from childhood.
