Technology a friend or foe?

Technology can be a friend or foe, depending on how it is used or misused.

it's like a double-edged sword

As somebody said before, it's a double-sided weapon.
Now, we can get more information in less time, get connected with people from all over the world, machines can do hard works with more precission,...
but at the same time, we are slaves of our cell phones, we can be located anytime, competitors can get information about us, companies need less handlabour,...
It is not black or white.
There are several kinds of greys.

Friend for work productivity and making business contacts etc.
Foe in terms of maintaining personal relationships and health related issues.
People hardly see each other face-to-face because of technology.
Kids and teenagers now love to sit hours playing video games and watching TV but are lazy to go and play soccer outside.

A technology that saves time ,money & effort is nothing less than a miracle , but if it fails to do so it is devastating.

The intention of technology is to help, the misuse and abuse of technology is the downside of it, and it is mainly something we can control.
For example, smartphones are now part of our lives, where we can easily check business email, respond to urgent mail, and see how things are going while away, but, we tend to overuse this, by holding your device to send and receive e-mails, even if they were routine tasks that could be done without our involvement, which may increase stress levels.
A possible solution having a timed e-mail checking time, having an out-of-office message that states when you usually check your e-mail, and if there is something important, a phone call can be the solution, you need to manage your life, and use technology to ease it.

Iwould like to add that as far as technology concept is considered ,one should be more precise in defining whether it is a friend or a foe,because it is just a tool or attribute ,it will do best if you use it in the right ethically way ,on the other it will do bad if you used it in an unethically way.
So the command is under our fingers to which way the wheel can be turned.

Technology is really help people if we know how to use it .
