I stop, start listening,keep on listening and then and only then i start analysing the situation,then act on it through verbal or other mode of communication
The fact that you recognise you hadnt communicated something well is perhaps the first step. then analysing what you could have done better and then perhaps getting the points or the communication you expected done in the right manner.
For exmple if you thought you had missed out some information the first time you can always ensure its passed on when you realised it hadnt.
For example if you felt you hadnt clarified some details ,out of courtesy i would make the point of clarifying again to ensure i had done all i could and given all the information i could.
I will analyse where I went wrong , what is lacking in my communication, what is misunrdestanding and misleading other person who i have communicated with, then I will again listen with patience, understand carefully and then will make my communication more effective
