E-learning system is making student contacted with teacher through tablet PC or mobile operating with android system ,,,all of this in internet.
I think that e-learning trials done in Egypt, till now, are unorganized. Just like the internet before Google, or Wikipedia. In order for e-learning to be effective in Egypt it needs an institution to organize and make it a related channel to the official learning. For example, senior students study Chemistry. There should be an official website with advanced visuals, games, experiments and tests that is related to their curriculum.
The real problem is that the curriculum itself needs great changes in order to deliver the contemporary objectives we needs from a chemistry student.
While internet and communication lines have dramatically decreased in price, Egypt is still not stable enough for everyone to obtain the necessary connection needed for E-learning. However from past experience I think that students in Egypt are self taught through the books and piles of homework received. Many of the students claim their teacher has not taught them anything and that they rely heavily on books and tutors. I tutored a few Egyptian kids and have seen the difference in their learning experience as opposed to the United States. Surprisingly Egyptian education (although it falls short of teaching) maintains a high standard and ranks the top in the Middle East and Africa. Its amazing that they have not transitioned to e-learning already. Wishing Egypt all the luck.
